ABOUT

ARTIST STATEMENT
Judy grew up in the California coastal town of Santa Barbara. The surrounding beauty of her state from the sea to the Sierras nourished her love of the outdoors .Now Nevada has contributed to more recent subject matter. Judy responds to the beauty of creation with a thankfulness that she could only express in paint. Painting has been a source of delight for her since early childhood; graduate work in art expanded her artistic horizons and her passion to paint. One of her greatest joys is to paint “en plein air” describing the color, the contrasts, and the contours of the viewed landscape. She also delights in developing conceptual art that impacts the viewer, challenging their core beliefs.
